Danish House Society offers several scholarships: two at $2,400 from the estate of Ruth and Johannes Pedersen and up to 10 at $1,500 from the DHS.
To be considered for any of these scholarships, you must be of Danish heritage, with either yourself or a close family member (parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt or uncle), a paid up member of the Danish House Society, for at least one year. If you are not of Danish heritage, you may still qualify if you are a member or connected through family to a member of the Danish House Society. Note: Your membership or membership affiliation must have been valid for at least one year.
You must be a resident of British Columbia working towards a degree or diploma at an accredited post-secondary institution (the institution can be outside of BC).
Be of good character and provide 3 current written references: at least one from a high school or college/university administrator or faculty member, and the remainder from other sources, including an employer, if applicable. References are to be current, dated, and signed; if electronically submitted, should clearly show the source.
