Icelandic Language Classes

starting Monday, September 22

Classes will run from 7 pm to 9 pm on Monday evenings, starting September 22.

The location, as usual, is the Scandinavian Community Centre at 6540 Thomas Street in Burnaby, B.C. 

This time, we will divide into three groups.
– “Beginners I” level is for people who are either completely new to the classes or feel most comfortable starting from the very beginning.
– “Beginners II” level &
– “Advanced” level will basically be continuing where the two groups left off in our last round of classes (in early 2025); the former somewhere late in Book 1 and the latter partway through Book 2.

Anyone who has some previous background in the language but is new to the classes is welcome to jump straight into either of those groups if they think that is the most appropriate for them. When you register, select whichever level you feel is the right one for you, but it is always possible to switch later on!

We welcome Brynjarr as a new teacher, along with Edda and Gunnar. The teachers will rotate through the groups, and every evening we will end with a sing-along together with Edda playing the guitar.

The cost is $80 for 8 lessons, with proceeds going to the ICC of BC.
