This cultural workshop will consist of a short introductory lecture on Swedish lullabies. We will listen to and analyze 3-5 lullabies from different eras. We might ask, what makes this lullaby Swedish/ Scandinavian? What does the lullaby say about the culture and the time it’s from? How do contemporary lullabies differ from the older ones? We will learn and sing 1-2 lullabies. No previous Swedish language knowledge needed.
