In this special delivery workshop we will study the connections between language, myth and landscape in Swedish folk songs, fairy tales and art. Exploring how Swedes’ relationship to nature and seasonal changes deeply influences the culture and ways of thinking. Together we will read, listen and look at different samples of works. We will discuss and analyze how these stories, melodies and themes live in Swedish culture today and Swedish diaspora all over the world.
The course will be taught in English and all course material will be provided.
Delivered by Scandinavian Centre.
